18.6.1932 – May Statham - 30.7.24
May Statham a lady a lady so fine
Some did say she was divine
She went through life So full of zest
And as a mother she was one of the best
May could be stubborn, stubborn it’s true
When she said No! You knew what to do
But for her family and husband Jack
She’d pull out the stoppers and never look back
For family, she’d go To the end of the earth
This was her measure and her worth
May, you were with us for ninety two years
Had a few laughs and shed a few tears
Hughie, Peter, June, Ann and Pauline
To all five children you know what you mean
You loved them, clothed them, a story you told
Always there to see them on the right road
Now you have gone into heaven above
To join with Jack. The husband you love
Your life was full and rich from the start
And you shall remain, forever in our heart.
